Annabelle’s Block Pinot Noir

Russian River Valley

Named for Keltie Donelan’s second daughter, Annabelle’s Block is our first single-vineyard Pinot addition in almost a decade and we’re excited to work with this new vineyard. 2021 Annabelle’s Block makes for a very compelling wine that will have a long life ahead of it. The duplicity of Laguna Neighborhood’s terroir is here in spades. Black cherry, brambly fruit, and silky, mouth-coating juicy tannin are backed by good structure and ample acidity.

Annabelle’s Block Pinot Noir

Description

Description

The Klopp Laguna Ranch was planted almost 40 years ago to a handful of heritage selections of Pinot Noir. Owned and family-farmed from the very beginning, the Klopps lovingly tend to their prized Pinot Noir from the Laguna District of Russian River Valley. This wine is made of a combination of two different blocks of Pinot Noir. One is Swan Selection, a heritage selection known for the perfumed silky, ethereal wine it produces. The budwood from this block came from neighbor Tom Dehlinger who obtained it from Joe Swan himself. The second block is Dijon 777, a French clone prized for its dark fruit and supple round texture.
