Hailing from west Sonoma County on the AVA line of Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast appellation lies a small, two-acre parcel of vines. This planting is a Donelan Family Wines monopole. Farming in West County, as the locals refer to it, allows for little margin of error. The cool temperatures brought on by a thick marine layer of fog, does not usually give way until noon, even in peak of summer. This cool, temperate environment allows for a protracted growing season that gives us a wine with full flavor development without compromising acidity and structure.Visit Our Store

The nose is reminiscent of grower Champagne, buttered brioche, almond paste and kumquat. On the palate, the high acidity leads to a perception of salinity, with notes of struck flint and preserved lemons.
